Tell us your best holiday story

Beach Metro News is looking for a few good stories this holiday season. We will be running a holiday story contest, with prizes of $100, $50 and $25 for first-, second- and third-place winners.

Do you have fond memories from a childhood Christmas morning? Does a particular Hannukah stand out? Something funny happen at a family dinner? Want to tell us about your most memorable Kwanzaa or other winter holiday?

If so, that’s great, because we’d love to read them. Send your entries, maximum of 500 words, to, or via mail to 2196 Gerrard St. E., attention: Holiday story contest, Toronto, Ontario, M4E 2C7, by midnight on Nov. 26. Stories will be judged by the editorial staff at Beach Metro News, as well as board member and Toronto Sun columnist Christina Blizzard. Winning entries will be published in the Dec. 6 and Dec. 18 issues of Beach Metro News.
