Valerie Isaac, 44, is the latest honouree in 55 Division’s weekly ‘Wanted Wednesday’ program. Isaac is wanted for Assault with a Weapon, Assault Cause Bodily Harm, Mischief Under $5,000 and Assault. It’s alleged that she was in an argument with someone and assaulted the victim with a broken beer bottle. The victim ran away and waved down a passing police car.
Valerie Isaac is described as white, 5’6”, about 180 pounds, with short brown hair, brown eyes and acne. She is known to frequent Danforth Avenue.

A 28-year-old man was robbed at gunpoint on Sept. 23. Just before midnight, the victim was near Victoria Park and Danforth Avenues when two males approached from behind. One pulled out a handgun and demanded property. After a brief struggle, the suspect hit the victim in the neck with the gun. The second suspect pulled out a knife and the victim handed over his property. The first suspect pushed him to the ground and punched and kicked him in the head before both suspects fled the scene in a northeast direction. The victim sustained minor injuries.
Three men, aged 24, 33 and 53, were robbed at gunpoint on Sept. 23 near Pharmacy Avenue and Teesdale Place. Just before midnight, the victims were approached by two men, one armed with a handgun and one with a knife, who demanded property from them. One victim was hit in the face with the handgun. The suspects took a cell phone, a backpack and a laptop bag and fled toward Teesdale Place. Two of the victims suffered minor injuries.
A man charged with sexual assault in a church near Danforth and Birchmount Roads has had more charges added, and police from 41 Division still believe there may be more victims.
Police allege that on Sept. 3, a woman attended All Saints Romanian Orthodox Church, where the reverend assaulted her. A couple entered the church and interrupted the assault. Police now allege the suspect assaulted other women either in the church or in their homes.
Ioan Pop, 54, of Toronto, now faces seven counts of Sexual Assault and one of Forcible Confinement. Anyone with any information should contact Detective Constables Teresa Curtis or Pasquale Alberga at 416-808-7474, or use the Crime Stoppers information above.
A 69-year-old woman was mugged on Sept. 29 near Danforth and Byng Avenues. Shortly before 9 p.m., she was approached by a man armed with a knife. The suspect demanded property from her, and a struggle broke out. The suspect took the victim’s purse and fled the scene, leaving the victim unhurt.
Police are on the lookout for a person of interest following an attempted theft.
On Sept. 20, a homeowner near Coxwell Avenue and Gerrard Street East reported that someone had attempted to take his barbecue and propane tank. Both were secured, and the thief left unsuccessful, but not before unhooking the hose, opening the valve and emptying the propane tank.
