Veterans at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 11 welcomed students September 19-23rd during their annual open house. Students were able to look at actual paraphernalia from WWI and WWII, while learning about the impact of the war on their lives today.
A large, excited crowd turned out on Sunday, Aug. 28 to celebrate the city’s Olympians following the Team Canada’s return from the 2016 Rio Olympics last week. The festivities began at East Lynn Park on Danforth and Woodbine with a parade that made its way to Kew Gardens for a rally and entertainment.
