Three members of the Beach Guild of Fine Arts will be participating in the group’s ongoing display at the Wild Earth Bakery, 2142 Queen St. E. through the moth of August. They are Joyce Nelson, Gerda Eckert, and Yvonne Jamieson.

Also at Wild Earth Bakery, Janice Hardacre will be holding an exhibition of recent photography. Called Beach Summer Silhouettes, her black and white images, “reminiscent of the Victorian portraits silhouettes,” captures familiar pasttimes along the boardwalk.
Hardacre is a self-taught artist whose love of photography has won out over her drawing, painting, sculpture and puppetry. She has participated in several shows. She is also a singer in the Toronto Beach Chorale.

Arts On Queen, 2198 Queen St. E., presents a collection of new paintings by Tara Zaryski, called In-Between, Aug. 7 through 31.
“By examining the spaces between neighbouring farms, questions are raised about intimacies and dialogues of certain houses with the next door cluster of buildings,” says Zaryski. “Relationships of tension and longing develop in the in-between spaces in each painting.
