Woman passenger seriously injured in head-on collision at Danforth and Byng avenues

 

A 39-year-old woman suffered life-threatening injuries after a two-vehicle crash on Danforth Avenue near Byng Avenue on Tuesday morning.

Toronto police were called to the scene of the head-on collision between two cars at approximately 12:43 a.m. on March 12.

According to police, a 35-year-old man was driving a Honda Civic on westbound Danforth at Byng when the vehicle crossed over the centre line and struck an eastbound Toyota Camry being driven by a 49-year-old man.

Police said a 39-year-old woman who was sitting in the front passenger seat of the Civic was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The drivers of the Civic and Camry both received minor injuries.

Police are asking local residents, business, and drivers, who may have security or dash camera footage of the area or incident, to contact investigators.
